Aerobin is a product a of Global Environment Management (GEM), a group joint venture with ECompost Pty Ltd, Australia.
It is a home and garden waste containment system which helps householders divert organic kitchen and garden waste materials away from landfill. Instead, the resulting compost can be added to garden soil to complete the natural carbon cycle, thereby avoiding the generation of greenhouse gases in the collection, transportation, and anaerobic decomposition processes that would otherwise occur.
Aerobin has been independently tested and found to be the leading composting system for organic kitchen waste and soft green garden clippings.
The Aerobin incorporates patented aeration technology to ensure a plentiful supply of oxygen to the decomposing material, which reduces odour, and means the compost does not need to be turned. Integral thermal insulation ensures the composting process continues even during winter in cool climates, while the aesthetically-pleasing, self-contained, double-skinned design keeps out vermin and pets.
